Biography

Oliver Elias grew up in Berlin and Basle (Switzerland). After finishing high school in Switzerland he moved back to Berlin where he took acting lessons at Maria Körber's Drama School and graduated after three years.

Being from a family of actors, Oliver appeared on stage and camera early on, trained his voice in dubbing studios, and worked as a radio speaker.

Today Oliver Elias quite frequently appears in tv feature films and serials. His cinema debut was in Joseph Vilsmeier's MARLENE, where he played with Katja Flint and Heiner Lauterbach.

Oliver is further working as author and developer, e.g. for ST. ANGELA and ABSCHNITT 40 tv series. His Pool Film company produces music videos and layouts for advertising clips (Polaroid, Adidas), but also made an award-winning documentary and the short film TOTAL B. He directed an episode featuring Mina Tander and Götz George, titled WHO'S AFRAID OF THE BLACK MAN?
