Born in 1994 in Berlin to the dancer Janet Calvert and the actor and director Cusch Jung, Melissa Jung grew up in close contact with the performing arts. As she saw her parents on stage at the Theater des Westens in Berlin from earliest childhood, she, too, soon entered into the world of acting. As a 7-year-old, she stood in front of the camera for the German TV show EDEL & STARK, and also performed a solo song on stage of the TDW as "little Cosette" in the Musical LES MISERABLES.

Throughout her childhood and teenage years, Melissa spent quite some time in the dubbing studio, lending her speaking and singing voice to a number of characters for various productions. In this context especially, her bilingual upbringing proved highly valuable. During the same time, she also appeared in front of the camera for several film productions.

In summer 2016, Melissa Jung graduated from the Berlin acting school Schauspielschule Charlottenburg. During her acting training, she focused primarily on the following roles:

Recently she played in Leipzig Eden Brent in the musical BULLETS OVER BROADWAY and in Magdeburg Constance in CAFÉ DER IRREN.
